"There's a group of people wandering in the dark under the ground of York, Dauphin, Cumberland and Adams Counties and beyond. The York Grotto, a local chapter of the National Speleological Society, is a group of cavers who meet for regular expeditions into the dark.
The group formed in 1959 after nine cavers met at the pavilion at Indian Echo Caverns in Hummelstown. Almost every year since, group members have traveled back to Indian Echo Caverns for a guided tour to remember their heritage. The tour takes them into the caverns and under the parking lot, right near the pavilion where their caving predecessors formed the group."

But those caverns are tame compared to what these cavers normally do.

Or the life to come, what I hear is the murmur
Of underground streams, what I see is a limestone landscape."
